Good Luck Chris

Chris Taylor

Good luck from everyone at the Mighty Tree to Chris Taylor our cup winning skipper of last season who has left to begin his tour to Afghanistan.

Chris joined Felling from Gateshead Fell some five years ago and quickly became a favourite not just for his batting and wicket keeping but for his attitude to the game.

A model professional with a will to win he instilled a sense of pride into the first team after taking on the role of captain which culminated in the tree's most successful season for many years.

Winning the DSL League Cup, finalists in the Armbrister Trophy and runners up in the Durham Senior League in 2010 under his command before he had to leave to take up army duties in Germany.

He will be a big miss on the field and around the ground and we look forward to seeing Chris gracing High Heworth Lane again next season.

Safe trip mate and best wishes from all at the tree, keep us posted on your progress.
